Charm Bracelet – A Special Gift for any Girl

Traditionally, there are two times in a female’s life when she will be the recipient of a charm bracelet.

The first time often comes when a mother passes her own charm bracelet on to her daughter as a family heirloom.  Or, it may be the case that the daughter is given a brand new charm bracelet with the goal of populating it with symbolic charms as she blossoms from a young girl to a woman.  Often the symbolic charms include ones that represent her favorite hobbies, important milestones, beliefs and interests. As the daughter grows older, so does her charm bracelet, increasing in both sentimental value and the number of charms.

The second time a female receives a charm bracelet is typically in celebration of her marriage.  The charm bracelet symbolizes the hope of a future filled with good fortune.
The charm bracelet  will often have charms that are symbols of a wedding such as a marriage certificate or wedding bells. As time passes additional charms can be added that represent the major milestones and memories of the new couple for example charms representing the honeymoon, important anniversaries and the birth of children. This bracelet is frequently referred to as a “Lifetime” bracelet” because as the years pass it continues to be populated with charms representing significant moments in a bride’s life.  The charm bracelet continues growing over the years until one day it is passed on to a daughter, continuing the tradition of charm collecting from mother to daughter from generation to generation.
